Find farms, artists, craftspeople, teachers, studios, galleries, fiber producers, suppliers, shops, learning centers, organizations, fiber processing mills, and manufacturers at our statewide Digital Tour to fiber places throughout Maine

You can see the entire map here...

This map along with our Fiber Bulletin and Fiber Folio is our digital version of the Fiber Arts Tour/Resource Guide. The listings on the right side can be filtered by category by checking the box beside one or more categories in the list. The default is to view all categories. If you do not see what you are looking for you can move the map or make it larger or smaller. The listings on the right only reflect the locations (hot spots) on the area of the map in view. The "Read More" links at the bottom of each listing go to more detailed profiles (if they exist).

You can enter your own fiber site on the map. Take note that the "Title" field is required. It refers to the name of your studio, farm, gallery, shop, business, etc. listing. The name and email you enter at the top do not show up, it is for us to know who is entering the information. If you do not want your exact location to show on the map, you can just enter the town name, and/or drag the marker on the map in the form to wherever you want it. Once it is correct you can hit the "sticky marker" selection.

Or you can pick a category or choose a word from one of the drop down lists. Click on the "Find" button to see all listings, sorted by newest at the top.

Fiber Resource Examples

Maine Fiberarts was tasked by the Maine Department of Agriculture, funded through a matching grant from the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Federal-State Marketing Improvement Program (FSMIP) to compile this guide to Maine fiber resources. It was designed to be a comprehensive online guide to resources related to fiber and the fiber industry, to provide useful information for fiber enthusiasts, fiber farmers, artists and craftspeople working in fiber, and anyone wanting to know more about Maine's growing fiber industry. Even with the modifications we have made since then, these listings are aimed at bringing greater visibility for Maine’s fiber industry to regional, national and international consumer markets, and to provide a self-guided fiber tour for visitors to Maine.
